Basalt fiber is an additive material for crack resistance and reinforcement for concrete. Basalt fiber has excellent chemical resistance, especially alkali resistance. Therefore, basalt fiber is an excellent material to replace polypropylene (PP) and polyacrylonitrile (Pan) to strengthen concrete; it is also a competitive product to replace polyester fiber and cellulose fiber for asphalt concrete, which can improve the high temperature stability, low temperature crack resistance and fatigue resistance of asphalt concrete. Chopped basalt fiber strands is suitable for SMA, OGFC, AC, semi open graded asphalt concrete, cast asphalt concrete, etc. It is suitable for pavement pavement, bridge deck pavement, tunnel pavement, overpass and municipal highway and other fields.
