How does basalt fiber work in Concrete

(1) When basalt fiber is added into the concrete, it forms a uniform random support system inside the concrete, which produces an effective secondary strengthening effect. The random distribution of basalt fiber can weaken the plastic shrinkage of concrete. The energy of shrinkage is dispersed to numerous fiber wires in basalt fiber equipment, so as to effectively enhance the toughness of concrete and reduce the cracks and cracks caused by shrinkage during the initial setting of concrete.
  
(2) Adding fiber into concrete can alleviate the internal stress caused by temperature change and prevent the expansion of temperature cracks. At the same time, fiber is added into the concrete, and air is introduced in the mixing process, so that the air content in the concrete increases and the frost resistance is improved.

(3) A large number of fibers evenly distributed in the concrete play a "supporting" role, which reduces the segregation of water and aggregate on the surface of concrete, so that the content of micro pores in concrete is greatly reduced; at the same time, the incorporation of fiber reduces the initial primary cracks in the concrete, which brings obvious crack resistance effect and improves the impermeability of fiber reinforced concrete.
 
  
(4) The fiber is mixed into the concrete, and basalt fiber is randomly distributed. On the one hand, the shrinkage stress of the concrete is reduced, and the cohesiveness of the concrete is increased, which effectively prevents the segregation of the concrete, makes the water migration difficult, and reduces the possibility of plastic shrinkage of cement mortar.
  
(5) Adding fiber into concrete can improve the shear resistance, splitting resistance and fatigue resistance of concrete, significantly improve the mechanical properties of concrete, and avoid some diseases of ordinary concrete caused by too low above indexes.
 
 
(6) When fiber is added into the concrete, the concrete mixing and casting molding have no adverse effect on the concrete, and the combination is good, which can improve the cohesion and stability of concrete.
